Staff are beyond wonderful. Professional and friendly with genuine care for guests. My dog is treated like any other guest and wants for nothing. I have high standards which the team surpass on every visit. If only life could be as delightful as a stay at The George.

We stayed at the George for 3 nights from April 6- 9 as part of a trip to the UK as a family after almost a decade. My wife and I love Edinburgh as a city and we were excited to show it to our two children who were there for the first time. Zellal and Rebecca at the reception did a fantastic job at welcoming us and gave us a fantastic room. The hotel’s club room and bar were top notch and everybody was very family friendly. My children enjoyed the board games and the breakfasts and loved the overall experience at the hotel so much so that when asked what the highlight of the trip to Edinburgh was- they said “ The Hotel” 😀. Ok- they did like the Holyrood palace and Camera Obscura too! ( a recommendation from Zellal btw). Thanks to the fantastic team at the hotel and particularly Rebecca and Zellal at the Reception for a memorable few days!

Good news on the fine professional service of Mr Samourakis Antonios Nikolaos and his particular team of staff mates. The Intercontinental Hotel in Edinburgh has become a beacon of excellent light to global jet setters of late yet again. The hotel offers a splendid sense of hospitality unparalleled to many other upscale hotels in The magnificent city of Edinburgh. My experience living and traveling throughout the world has always been an added joy depending upon the setting, and the people. One of the most essential elements that differentiates a fair experience from an extraordinary experience to any traveler is service. Having a warm spirit of professional grace to greet you is so special and sets the bar above other fine places. A beautiful castle without a warm hearted crew to offer prompts care is just chilling to the bone. However to have a well appointed, beautiful place with a staff demonstrating sincere gratitude of your visit makes all the the difference to create a an inner demand to return! Thank you for your incredible top grade hospitality dear Antonio! We stayed in a king premium and tbh I’ve stayed in better hotels!, there was a lot of dust behind the tv, the bathroom you couldn’t swing a cat and it was quite difficult getting in& out of the shower, old aircon radiator which was noisy esp at night. Food menu isn’t child friendly. The halls looked rather tired. Would I stay here again..no. The breakfast was sent something to shout about. ( standard breakfast) Only decent thing about the hotel was the location…very central and staff were pleasant enough.

Second Easter in a row we have spent at The George. Lovely room, friendly staff and just an all round good experience. The bar is good and we had a nice cocktail before heading out. Location is perfect and in easy walking distance of all the main attractions and restaurants. Would highly recommend.
